Eric Holshouser is an Adjunct Professor in Emory’s School of Medicine and founded the Physiology and Leadership Initiative at Goizueta Business School. He graduated with a dual MBA/Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and School of Medicine in 2021, receiving awards for academic excellence, leadership, and clinical excellence, as well as the MBA Outstanding Achievement Award during his graduate studies at Emory. Eric is also a research mentor in the Emory Division of Physical Therapy, co-created the DPThrive well-being program for 1st year DPT students, and serves as an instructor for the courses Fundamentals of Clinical Measurement and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation.

In addition to his roles at Emory, Eric is employed by Champion Physical Therapy, where he treats patients with orthopedic impairments, and he is President and Founder of Venture Physiology. Eric has notable presentation experience, including a full-day seminar on Personal Wellness and Decision-Making for army officers at Fort Stewart Army Base as part of the United States Army Foundational Training Day. He has also delivered platform and poster presentations on topics such as “The Application of Machine Learning to NFL Injury Prediction” and “Addressing Doctor of Physical Therapy Student Well-Being with a Peer-LED Goal-Setting and Habit Formation Program” at the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) in 2020 and 2022. In 2019, he presented a poster on “Student-Led Initiatives: Integrating Sustainability Concepts into Physical Therapy Education” at the APTA CSM in Washington DC. His work in this area was recognized with an Education Influencer Award and a Social Responsibility Award at the 2020 APTA CSM.

Prior to his time at Emory University, Eric was employed as a civil engineer after receiving a ME and BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida
